New contributor with board experience

Hi, I would like to become a contributor but I’m a bit of a beginner. I learn quickly however. Do I work on good first issues then do pull request.I have experience with hardware (hardware arch , verification of said arch), deployment of AI projects(kubernetes ,docker, triton,networking,linux),math theory(differential equations ,approximation theory, statistics , matrix operations , currently learning calculus of variations (for optimal transport) and measure theory (for better understanding of AE and VAE) and some topology). I need a mentor to guide me in the contribution process(PR review and where to improve my skillsets). I prefer to focus on scientific computing , symbolic computation(automatic differentiation), using approximation theory to solve computing problems and computational problems.
